Today an estmated twenty-five million Americans practice Yoga as a means for managing stress, promoting health, slowing down the aging process and creating a more meaningful life. Yoga is over 5000 years old, yet is relatively new to Americans.

Swami Satchidananda was one of the first Yoga masters to bring the classical Yoga tradition to the West and popularize the philosophy and practices.

The distinctive teachings he brought with him blend the physical discipline of Yoga, the spiritual philosophy of Vedic literature and the interfaith ideals he pioneered.

His role in the birth of the modern Yoga movement and its impact on the world is chronicled in this hour-long documentary that informs, entertains and provokes self-inquiry.

The role of spirituality in wellness and the link between inner peace and outer peace is explored in the film with commentary by Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Rev. James P. Morton, Rabbi Joseph Gelberman, Peter Max, Felix Cavaliere, Br. David Steindl_Rast, OSB, Dr. Bhagavan Antle, Dr. Sandra McLanahan and Larry King among others.

Many of us remember a trunk in the attic filled with mysteries that fired the imagination. Our own trunks, from the pelvis to the shoulder girdle, support us, empower us and are the source of our movement and spontaneity as well as our compulsions and limitations.

The Feldenkrais Method is a safe and elegant approach to movement and learning that can help unlock holding patterns that have kept your trunk ignored or locked.
Discover the treasures of greater freedom and ease in a safe and nurturing environment. No movement experience is necessary.

Lavinia Plonka is author of two books, What Are You Afraid Of? and Walking Your Talk that explore the body/mind/emotion connection. She is an internationally renowned workshop leader and consultant teaching a movement based approach to creativity, writing and self exploration.

Lavinia is director of Asheville Movement Center in NC where she teaches Feldenkrais classes and has a private practice.
